Portugal’s first Summer Festival arrives in May by the river Douro! It’s the 3rd edition of the North Music Festival and will take place in Alfândega do Porto the 24-25th of May. As the name implies, the main attraction of this festival is music. And this a different festival organized with different types of music.

Banksy at Porto by Barry Cawston
Alfândega do Porto, the old Porto customs building, hosts the exhibition “Banksy´s Dismaland and Others” by the British photographer Barry Cawston. The exhibition intends to take the public on a journey through the work of Banksy who for more than 25 years uses his art to question the values of society on themes such as war, child poverty and the environment.

Dorothée Munyaneza is a 35 years old British-Rwandan singer, actress, dancer and choreographer. She was born in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. Her family fled to London during the Rwandan genocide in 1994, when she was 12. Unwanted is her second work to examine the generational wound of genocide. More specifically the physical and mental consequences of rape used as a mechanism of war.
